TODO TRANQUILO –The “Todo Tranquilo” training for “Calmadores”
graduated their student volunteers this morning, and hosted an assembly for Early
Childhood and Elementary students to explain to the rest of the student body
what the program is about. Teachers are asked to remind their students to seek
the Calmadores’ assistance during recess if they need to.
SECONDARY UNIFIED BLOGS – The
secondary school (grades 6 – 12) is using a new format that unifies all
teachers’ blogs per grade level. If you experience any difficulty while
accessing the different blogs, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Gloria – gpalacios@discoveryschool.edu.hn
MIDTERM
– Midterm is this Friday, November 13. Progress reports will go home on Friday,
November 20.
BRICKS4KIDZ
– The second module for Bricks4kidz begins this
Monday, November 9, and will run for all the remaining Mondays of November.
This exciting new module focuses on INVENTIONS! There are still spaces
available, so come on Monday and sign up!
MIDDLE SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS
– Unfortunately, we were not able to reach quorum to organize the different
field trips (Copan – 6th grade, Lake Yojoa – 7th grade,
and Tela – 8th grade). The initial payment will be reimbursed on Wednesday, November 25. Please, see
Belgica in the Finance Office for the reimbursement.

We are ready to
begin with Kenpo Karate classes. The schedule is as following:
Elementary:
Monday and Wednesday from 3:15 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Middle
School and High School: Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

We are getting
ready for the ABSH Basketball tournament, this tournament will be held in the
American school, Tegucigalpa. From November 11 to 14th.

FAIR: This Friday, November 13, from 8:00 a.m. to
12:00 p.m. we will have the Optica Matamoros and Dra. Sandra Noguera, doing
visual and dental screening for our Early Childhood students. Permission slips
allowing this screening to be done will be sent home this week.

BAZAAR- LOOKING FOR VENDORS- Discovery’s Helping
Hands Club, a community service club that benefits children of the Nuestros

TODO TRANQUILO - El
entrenamiento de “Todo Tranquilo”
para los “Calmadores” termino con el reconocimiento de sus alumnos voluntarios esta mañana, y una
asamblea para los alumnos de Pre-escolar y Primaria para explicarles al resto
del cuerpo estudiantil de lo que se trata el programa. Les pedimos a los
maestros recordarle a los Calmadores asistencia durante el recreo si es
necesario.
BLOGS UNIFICADOS PARA SECUNDARIA – La escuela secundaria (de 6to a 12vo
grado) estarán usando un formato nuevo que unifica los blogs de los maestros
por grado. Si experimenta alguna dificultad mientras entra en los diferentes
blogs, favor no dude en comunicarse con Ms. Gloria – gpalacios@discoveryschool.edu.hn
MEDIO PERIODO – El medio periodo es este viernes 13 de noviembre. Los
reportes de progreso se enviarán a casa el viernes 20 de noviembre.
BRICKS4KIDZ – El segundo modulo para Bricks4kidz comienza este lunes 9 de noviembre, y se
realizará los siguientes lunes de noviembre. Este emocionante modulo se
enfocará en INVENTOS! Todavía tenemos espacios disponibles, así que venga el
lunes a inscribirse!
PASEOS DE ESCUELA MEDIA – Lamentablemente, no pudimos alcanzar el número de
alumnos para organizar los diferentes viajes/paseos (Copan – 6to
grado, Lago de Yojoa – 7mo grado, y Tela – 8vo grado). El
pago inicial se reembolsará el miércoles
25 de noviembre. Favor comuníquese con Belgica en la oficina de
Contabilidad para el reembolso.
