REPORT
CARDS AND CONFERENCES - We thank all our parents for coming to school for conferences last
Friday. If you still need to meet with a
teacher, please do not hesitate to call the school or email the teacher to set
up a convenient time.
UN
DAY CELEBRATION – This Wednesday, October 29 the
school will hold its annual UN Day Festivity. The activities will begin at 8:30
a.m. in the school gym. This is an early dismissal day for students, and they
will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m.
HOLIDAYS THIS WEEK - There will be no school
on October 30 and 31 in compliance to Congress’ decree for moving the holidays
this month. Classes will resume on
November 3.
SENIORS’
SURVEY- The Seniors are conducting a grounds survey
concerning the green space at school. With this survey, we hope to gather data
on the level of satisfaction the community has with the school grounds, and gather
ideas for the Seniors' Educational Social Work (TES) project. All responses will be kept confidential, and
we encourage all students, parents, and staff to take the survey. The link to

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR –
The School’s Community Service Club's will host a Christmas Bazaar, and are
currently looking for vendors.Tables will cost L. 500 for the general public
and L. 300 for Discovery parents. All the proceeds will go to aid the
children's home Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos. Anyone interested can contact Nina

CHARACTER DAY
– Grades 2-5 will be dressing as their favorite
book character on Friday, November 7. The third, fourth and fifth graders will
be hosting a Talking Wax Museum during second period on that day.

CALIFICACIONES Y CONFERENCIAS - Agradecemos
a todos los padres por venir a la escuela a las conferencias del viernes
pasado. Si usted todavía necesita reunirse con un maestro, favor no dude en
llamar a la escuela o enviar un correo electrónico al maestro para establecer
una hora conveniente.
CELEBRACION DEL DÍA DE LAS NACIONES UNIDAS – Este miércoles 29 de octubre, la escuela
organizará las festividades anuales del Día de las Naciones Unidas. Las
actividades darán inicio a las 8:30 a.m. en el gimnasio de la escuela. Este día
los alumnos saldrán temprano, a las 11:45 a.m.
ENCUESTA DE LOS SENIORS – Los Seniors están realizando una encuesta acerca
de las instalaciones refiriéndose a las áreas verdes de la escuela. Con esta
encuesta, esperamos recolectar información sobre el nivel de satisfacción que
la comunidad tiene acerca de las instalaciones de la escuela, y reunir ideas
para el proyecto de Trabajo Educativo Social de los Seniors. Todos los resultados
se mantendrán confidenciales, y animamos
a todos los alumnos, padres, y personal a realizar la encuesta. El enlace para

BAZAR DE NAVIDAD – La comunidad de Servicio Social de la escuela estará realizando un Bazar Navideño, y actualmente estamos buscando vendedores. El costo de la mesa es de L.500 para el público en general y L.300 para los padres de Discovery. Todas las ganancias serán destinadas para ayudar a Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos. DÍA DE PERSONAJE DE LIBRO – Los grados de 2-5 se disfrazarán como su personaje
