ABSH Language Arts Festival - We had 34 students at the Spelling, Speech, Oratoria and Ortografia competitions last Saturday. Our students did an outstanding job preparing for over two months for these competitions and festival which took place simultaneously in the Mayan School and the International School of Tegucigalpa. Congratulations to Rolando Kattan who won second place in the 10th grade Speech competition, and Maria Fernanda Paz who won third place in the Ortografia competition. Way to go Wolve! We thank our teachers, who have been coaching the students since November, and our parents, who have been supporting their children. Go Wolves!

ABSH Festival de Lenguaje - Tuvimos 34 estudiantes en las competencias de Ortografía (inglés y español) y Oratoria (inglés y español) el sábado pasado. Nuestros estudiantes hicieron un excelente trabajo preparándose durante más de dos meses para estas competencias y para el festival que se llevo a cabo simultáneamente en la Escuela Maya y en la Escuela Internacional de Tegucigalpa. Muchas felicitaciones a Rolando Kattan, quien ganó el segundo lugar en la competencia de Oratoria del 10º grado, y a María Fernanda Paz, quien ganó el tercer lugar en la competencia de Ortografía. Bien hecho Lobos! Agradecemos a nuestros maestros (as), que han estado entrenando a los estudiantes desde noviembre, y a nuestros padres de familia que han estado apoyando a sus hijos (as). ¡Vamos lobos!

RETURNING SIGNED MIDTERM REPORTS - Please make sure you read, sign and return the Midterm Progress reports that were sent home last Friday. If you would like a conference with a teacher and one was not requested by the school, please contact the teacher/school to make an appointment at your convenience.

FUN RUN AND FAMILY GAMES BY THE DPTO

The DPTO is ready to host this Saturday’s activity that includes:
- Laps for Pledges (don't forget to get your sponsors!)
- Soccer Games
- Volleyball Games
- Basketball Games
- Zumba dancing
This activity is designed to give families a morning of fun and games. And of course, a COMPLIMENTARY (FREE!) PANCAKE AND FRUIT BREAKFAST is offered by the DPTO!

Operation Smile Brigade: our club will be attending a brigade on Friday, February 22. Our students will be assisting around 100 patients that will undergo cleft lip surgery. The club will be providing meals, care for the little patients, and offering Smile Bags for after the surgeries.

Brigada Operación Sonrisa: nuestro club asistirá a una brigada el viernes 22 de febrero. Nuestros estudiantes asistirán a unos 100 pacientes que se someterán a una cirugía de paladar hendidio. Nuestro club proporcionará merienda, atenderá a los pequeños pacientes y ofrecerá Smile Bags para después de las cirugías.
