DISCOVERY SCHOOL MONDAY MEMO FOR PARENTS FEBRUARY 7, 2011

ABSH SPELLING BEE: CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR DISCOVERY SCHOOL STAFF, STUDENTS, AND PARENTS FOR A SUPERB ABSH SPELLING BEE LAST SATURDAY! Once again, the outstanding teamwork among everyone has proven what a great school this is. All the attendees were amazed at the organization and smoothness of the event. Thanks to all of you for making it happen!

SCIENCE FAIR –will take place on Thursday February 17th. More information about the logistics for this day will be given soon.

AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES (ASA) will run until March 2nd. Please remember to pick your child up promptly at 4:00 p.m.

MID-TERM: Wednesday, February 9, is the mid-point of the Third Quarter. Progress Reports will go home with the students on Thursday, February 17. If you do not get the report, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.

ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION (AAIE) CONFERENCE – Ms. Giles will represent Discovery School at the AAIE Annual Conference in San Francisco from February 9-15.

ABSH SPELLING BEE: FELICIDADES A TODO EL PERSONAL, ALUMNOS Y PADRES DE LA ESCUELA DISCOVERY POR UN MAGNIFICO ABSH SPELLING BEE ESTE PASADO SABADO! Una vez más, el sobresaliente trabajo en equipo entre todos demuestra la excelencia de nuestra escuela. Todos los que asistieron se asombraron por la organización con la que se desarrollo el evento. Gracias a todos ustedes por hacer que esto sucediera.

FERIA DE CIENCIAS – se llevará a cabo el jueves 17 de febrero. Mayor información acerca de la logística de este evento se proporcionara pronto.

ACTIVIDADES EXTRA CURRICULARES (ASA) se harán hasta el 2 de marzo. Favor recuerde recoger a su hijo en punto a las 4:00 p.m.

MEDIO PERÍODO: El miércoles 9 de febrero, marca el punto medio del tercer trimestre. Los reportes de progreso se mandarán a casa el día jueves 17 de febrero con los alumnos. Si Ud. no recibe el reporte, favor contacte al maestro guía de su hijo.

CONFERENCIA DE LA ASOCIACION PARA EL AVANCE DE LA EDUCACION INTERNACIONAL (AAIE) – Ms. Giles representará a la Escuela Discovery en la conferencia anual de AAIE en San Francisco desde el 9 al 15 de febrero.
