ADOLESCENT GROWTH MEETINGS: The students from grade 5, 6 & 7 will be receiving an informational talk about Adolescent Growth. The boys will meet with Licensed Clinical Counselor Robert R. Myers, M.S. LCPC, and the girls will meet with Ms. Julia Pineda, Guidance Counselor. These sessions will take place on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, from 8:00 am – 8:50 am.

Our Discovery School 2011 Family Night was a blast! Students, parents and teachers had lots of fun with many games and activities, and with the beautiful presentation of Batucada Proyecto Gritón! Thank you to our teachers for all the fun games that they organized. We deeply appreciate the help of all parents that volunteered with ticket sales, bake sales, and many other activities organized by the DPTO. Those activities can only happen with parental support. A most special THANK YOU to our representatives of the Japanese Community who, on a particularly difficult day, attended Family Night and made beautiful Book Marks as part of the DPTO fund raising activities. A strong community is one of Discovery School's biggest assets!

Nuestra Noche de Familia 2011 de la Escuela Discovery fue genial! Los alumnos, padres y maestros se divirtieron mucho con todas los juegos y actividades, y con la magnifica presentación de Batucada Proyecto Gritón! Gracias a todos nuestros maestros por organizar tan divertidos juegos. Muy profundamente apreciamos a los padres que ayudaron voluntariamente en la venta de boletos, venta de pasteles, y muchas otras actividades organizadas por el DPTO. Esas actividades solo se pueden realizar con el apoyo de los padres. Un agradecimiento muy especial a nuestros representantes de la Comunidad Japonesa que, en un día particularmente difícil, asistieron a la Noche de Familia e hicieron bellos separadores de libros como parte de las actividades de recaudación de fondos del DPTO. Una comunidad fuerte es uno de los mayores activos de la Escuela Discovery!
