AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES – This is the third week of our After School Activities program for the second quarter. Please pick your child up by 4:00 p.m.
MIDTERM –Midterm Reports will be distributed to students on Wednesday, Novemember 21. Remember to please return them signed after the Thanksgiving Holiday, and to set up a conference if you feel one is needed and was not requested by a teacher.
NPH GIVING TREE- Nuestro Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) is an international organization that takes in abandoned and orphaned children, providing a home and education. Discovery School teachers have played an important role in visiting a group of children from the orphanage and this year will hope to provide shoes and socks for each of these children. A giving tree has been set up on the second floor of the secondary building. Tree tags have the children's size information. Items need to be returned to school by Tuesday, December 4th. FINANCE OFFICE PERSONNEL - Mr. Efrain Ochoa has been hired as Finance Manager to replace Ms. Reina when she moves to the U.S. in January. He will begin working with Ms. Reina on December 3 for the transition. Please introduce yourselves and give him a Discovery School welcome!
ADVANCED ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Ms. Giles is attending the annual Conference in Atlanta that is hosted by AdvancED, the umbrella organization for our accrediting agency, SACS. In her absence, please refer all matters to her admin team.

ACTIVIDADES EXTRACURRICULARES – Esta es la tercera semana de nuestro programa Actividades Extracurriculares para el segundo periodo. Por favor recoja a su hijo(a) a las 4:00 p.m. en punto.
MEDIO PERIODO – Los reportes de medio periodo serán entregados a los alumnos el miércoles 21 de noviembre. Recuerde que debe mandarlos de regreso firmados después del feriado de Día de Acción de Gracias, y solicitar una conferencia si siente que es necesario y no esta no fue solicitada por el maestro.
ARBOL DE DONACION NPH – Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) es una organización internacional que alberga a niños abandonados y huérfanos, proporcionándoles casa y educación. Los maestros de la Escuela Discovery han jugado un papel importante visitando a un grupo de los niños del orfanato y este año esperan proporcionarles zapatos y calcetines a cada niño. Un árbol de donaciones se ha puesto en el segundo piso del edificio de secundaria. Etiquetas en el árbol tienen la información del tamaño del niño. Los artículos deben ser traídos a la escuela antes del martes 4 de diciembre. Por favor notifíquele a Ms. Gloria o Ms. Cristiana si está interesado en participar para esta vez.
