DPTO FUN RUN PLANNING MEETING – The DPTO will have their first planning
meeting for Fun Run on Thursday, April 4 at 4:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria. This year it will be a little different--with
an Olympic theme. They are planning to have relay races, soccer, biking, and
basketball. More information will be available following the planning meeting. All
Parents and Teachers are welcome to attend all DPTO meetings. It takes the
combined efforts of our families to continue providing fun events for the
school. We hope to see you there!
RESERVE YOUR CHILD’S SPACE NOW
FOR 2013-2014 – If you have not already submitted your form indicating if your child
will be at Discovery next year, please do so today (it only takes a few minutes). We ask that one form be completed for each child

COUNTDOWN TO THE END OF THE YEAR – In general, when
we start counting down the days until the end of the year, it has a negative
undertone—indicating that we can’t wait to get out of school. Instead of doing
that, if you do want to countdown, please give it a positive twist, such as “We
have ___ more days to reach our goals!”

REUNION DE PLANIFICACION
DE LA CAMINATA POR LA DIVERSION, DEL DPTO – El DPTO tendrá
la primera reunión de planificación para la Caminata para la Diversión, el
jueves 4 de abril, a las 4:00p.m. en la Cafeteria. Este año será un poco
diferente--con tema de Olimpiadas. Están planeando realizar carreras de
relevos, futbol, ciclismo, y baloncesto. Se dará mayor información después de
la reunión de planeación. Todos los Padres y Maestros están invitados a asistir
a las reuniones del DPTO. Se necesita de los esfuerzos combinados de nuestras
familias para proveer continuamente eventos divertidos para la escuela.

RESERVE EL CUPO DE SU HIJO PARA EL AÑO 2013-2014 – Si
todavía no ha llenado el formulario indicando si su hijo(a) asistirá a
Discovery el próximo año, por favor llénelo hoy (solamente le
tomará unos minutos). Estamos solicitando que se complete un
formulario por niño que este actualmente matriculado en la Escuela

CONTEO PARA FIN DE AÑO - En general, cuando empezamos a hacer el conteo
final de los días que faltan para el fin de año, le damos un tono
negativo—indicando que no podemos esperar para salir de la escuela. En lugar de
hacer eso, si quiere hacer un conteo, por favor démosle un cambio positivo,
como ser “Tenemos ___días para alcanzar nuestras metas!”
