U.N. DAY! - The DPTO did a fabulous job last Friday
coordinating the U.N. Day Celebration. Thanks to our DPTO officers who work
extremely hard in putting it together, and thanks to all our families and
friends who participated in the representation of a country.
LANGUAGE ARTS FESTIVAL –Spelling
Bee and Ortografía, competitions are this Friday, November 6.
TODO TRANQUILO –The “Todo Tranquilo” training for “Calmadores”
concludes this week, and the graduation will take place on Monday, November 9
at 8:00 a.m.
EARLY CHILDHOOD AND ELEMENTARY ASSEMBLY – The “Calmadores” will host an assembly for all Kinder through
grade five students on Monday, November 9 at 8:20 a.m. This assembly will allow
the “Calmadores” to explain to the rest of the student body what the program is
about and how to solve conflict.
SECONDARY UNIFIED BLOGS – Beginning
Monday, November 2, the secondary school (grades 6 – 12) will be trying a new
format that unifies all teachers’ blogs per grade level. If you experience any
difficulty while accessing the different blogs, please do not hesitate to

MIDTERM
– We are two (2) weeks away from midterm. We encourage all parents to
constantly check the blogs and ENGRADE to monitor your child’s performance.
Progress reports will go home on Friday, November 20.
FUNDACION ABRIGO / 1 gallon of disinfectant – We want to thank all the families
that have donated already;
nonetheless, we still don’t have enough in order to make a significant donation
on behalf of the school. Therefore, in order to give our families more time to
purchase the disinfectant, we have decided to extend the deadline until Friday,
November 6.

ABSH TRACK AND FIELD RESULTS – Congratulations to all members who
participated in this event in San Pedro Sula! Our
middle and high school student, participated in the ABSH track and field
competition organized by the Escuela Internacional Sampedrana, last week in San
Pedro Sula. Discovery school student where so proud to represent the school and
did an excellent job.

Navas and Fernando Herrera, for their willing and active participation as
translators in the Cape Cares Brigade in San Marcos that took place on the week
of October 17-24. They came back very enthusiastic about repeating this

AGRADECEMOS AL DPTO POR UNA FANTASTICA CELEBRACION
DEL DIA DE LAS NACIONES UNIDAS! – El DPTO hizo un trabajo fabuloso el viernes pasado coordinando la celebración
del Día de las Naciones Unidas. Agradecemos a los integrantes del DPTO que
trabajaron arduamente para realizarlo, y agradecemos a nuestras familias y amigos que participaron en la representación
de los países.
FESTIVAL DE LENGUAJE – Spelling Bee y Ortografía, las competencias
serán este viernes 6 de noviembre.
TODO TRANQUILO - La capacitación
“Todo Tranquilo” para “Calmadores” finalizó
esta semana, y la graduación se llevará a cabo el día lunes 9 de noviembre, a
las 8:00 a.m.
ASAMBLEA PARA PRE-ESCOLAR Y PRIMARIA – Los “Calmadores” organizarán una asamblea para los
alumnos de Kínder hasta quinto grado el lunes 9 de noviembre, a las 8:20 a.m.
Esta asamblea permitirá que los “Calmadores” expliquen al resto de los alumnos
de lo que se trata el programa y como resolver conflictos.
BLOGS UNIFICADOS PARA SECUNDARIA – A partir del lunes 2 de noviembre, la escuela
secundaria (de 6to a 12vo grado) estarán usando un formato nuevo que unifica
los blogs de los maestros por grado. Si experimenta alguna dificultad mientras

MEDIO PERIODO – Estamos a dos (2) semanas para medio periodo.
Animamos a los padres a revisar constantemente los blogs y ENGRADE para

FUNDACION ABRIGO / 1 galón de desinfectante – Agradecemos a todas las familias que ya han
hecho su donación; sin embargo, aun no tenemos suficientes para poder hacer una
donación significativa en nombre de la escuela. Por lo tanto, para darles más
tiempo a nuestras familias de comprar el desinfectante, hemos decidido extender
la fecha límite hasta el viernes 6 de noviembre.

RESULTADOS DE LA COMPETENCIA DE ATLETISMO ABSH - Felicitaciones a todos los miembros que
participaron en este evento en San Pedro Sula! Nuestros alumnos de secundaria
participaron en las competencias de Atletismo ABSH organizada por la Escuela Internacional
