BASKET
BALL TEAMS – Last week a group of courageous
students, who have been practicing for the past 2 months, represented the
school at the ABSH Basketball tournament. We appreciate your hard work and
dedication, and encourage you to continue practicing for future friendly games
and tournaments. You make us proud! Go Wolves.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR AFTER SCHOOL
ACTIVITIES –
To ensure the safety of our students during the After
School Activities, and to run a smooth, congruent program, the administrative
team has agreed to the guidelines stated below. Please take note.
1.
ALL after school activities will begin at 3:15 p.m. and will end at 4: 15 p.m.
2.
When
the after school activity concludes, the sponsor of each activity will direct
the students to the Gym area. No students will be allowed in any other area of
the school, unless accompanied by a teacher or parent. Students are to remain
in the Gym area until they are picked up or leave in the school bus.
3.
Each
sponsor (or teacher) of an after school activity is responsible for the care of
his/her students until 4:30 p.m.
Any delays or stranded students should be reported to Ms. Yeri Villeda.
4. School
supervision is available for the students until 4:30 p.m.
IN THE SPIRIT OF GIVING THANKS AND SHARING WITH OTHERS
– we are asking out community to open their hearts
and share with our maintenance, support and security staff by sharing the
following:
Kinder and 7th
grade students 1 5 lb bag of rice
1st
grade and 8th grade students 1
5-lb bag of sugar
2nd grade and 9th grade
students 1 bottle or 2
bags of oil, 2 boxes of margarine, OR 3 lbs of lard
3rd
grade and 10th grade students 1 4lb-bag of MASECA
4th
grade and 11th grade students 3 lbs of spaghetti (six packages) OR
1 bag of coffee
5th
grade and 12th grade students 4 packages of tomato paste
**Please feel
free to send any additional goodies that you want to share with our devoted
staff, such as canned goods, instant soups, cookies and crackers, or anything
else that does not require refrigeration.
Please send these contributions
before Thanksgiving! No greater way to give thanks than by sharing with those
less fortunate!
MIDTERM
PROGRESS REPORTS–Progress
reports will go home this Friday, November 20. Please read and discuss the
report with your child. The report needs to be signed and returned to school.
If you wish to conference with a teacher, please do not hesitate to contact the
school to set up an appointment. They must be signed and returned to school by
Monday, November 23.
NEWS FOR THE SECONDARY STUDENTS AND PARENTS:
HOMEWORK CLUB
FOR SECONDARY – Secondary students will have the
opportunity to receive assistance with homework twice a week. Ms Regina will be
working with the students who wish to stay and work or specific students
referred by teachers.
When: Mondays and Tuesdays
Where: Room # 3
Who: Secondary Students
Time: 3:15 – 4:15 pm
ELECTRONIC
DEVICES (cell phones, tablets, laptops,
etc) – Students may bring their electronic devices to school with the
understanding the school will not be responsible for any loss or damage. We advise
all students to care good care of their electronic devices and to avoid leaving
them on the floor or outside of rooms.
LOCKERS
– The school has provided a locker to all secondary students for the purpose of
protecting the student’s property, and preventing loss or theft. The lockers
need to be secured with a combination padlock at all times. The students are
responsible for the padlock and for seeing that their books and belongings are
locked in the locker when not in use.

Ketterer will be meeting with STUCO representatives on Wednesday, November 18 @
10:00 in the Community Information Center.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
FIELD TRIPS – Unfortunately, we were not
able to reach quorum to organize the different field trips (Copan – 6th
grade, Lake Yojoa – 7th grade, and Tela – 8th grade). The
initial payment will be reimbursed on Wednesday,
November 25. Please, see Belgica in the Finance Office for the
reimbursement.

EQUIPOS DE BASQUETBOL – la semana pasada un grupo de alumnos, que han
estado practicando desde hace 2 meses, representaron a la escuela en el torneo
de Basquetbol ABSH. Agradecemos su arduo trabajo y dedicación, y les animamos a
continuar practicando para futuros juegos y torneos amistosos. Estamos
orgullosos de ustedes! Arriba Lobos.
NOTICIA IMPORTANTE PARA LAS ACTIVIDADES EXTRACURRICULARES
–
Para asegurar la seguridad de nuestros alumnos durante
las Actividades Extracurriculares, y para manejar un buen y congruente
programa, el equipo administrativo a preparado los siguientes lineamientos.
Favor tome nota.
1.
TODAS las actividades comenzarán a las 3:15 p.m. y terminarán a las 4:15 p.m.
2.
Cuando una actividad finalice, el organizador de
cada actividad llevará a los alumnos al área del gimnasio. No se permiten
alumnos en otra área de la escuela, a menos que estén acompañados por un
maestro o padre. Los alumnos deben permanecer en el área del gimnasio hasta que
sean recogidos o salgan en el bus de la escuela.
3.
Cada organizador (o maestro) de una actividad
extracurricular es responsable por el cuidado de sus alumnos hasta las 4:30 p.m. Cualquier retraso o
alumnos que se quedan deben ser reportados a Ms. Yery Villeda.
4.
La
supervisión en la escuela estará disponible para los alumnos hasta las 4:30
p.m.

REPORTES DE PROGRESO Y MEDIO PERIODO - Los
reportes se enviarán a casa este viernes 20 de noviembre. Favor léalos y
discútalos con su(s) hijo(s). El reporte debe ser firmado y enviado de regreso
a la escuela. Si desea tener una conferencia con un maestro, favor no dude
comunicarse con la escuela para concertar una cita.
Deben ser firmados y
enviados de regreso a la escuela antes del lunes 23 de noviembre.
NOTICIAS PARA LOS ALUMNOS Y PADRES DE SECUNDARIA:
CLUB DE TAREAS PARA SECUNDARIA – Los alumnos de secundaria tendrán la oportunidad
de recibir ayuda con la tarea dos veces por semana. Ms. Regina estará
trabajando con los alumnos que deseen quedarse y trabajar o alumnos específicos
referidos por los maestros.
Cuando: lunes y martes
Adonde: aula #3
Quiénes: alumnos de secundaria
Hora: 3:15 – 4:15 p.m.
APARATOS ELECTRONICOS (celulares, tabletas, computadoras portátiles, etc.)
– Los alumnos pueden traer sus aparatos electrónicos a la escuela con el
entendimiento que la escuela no es responsable por ninguna pérdida o daño. Les
aconsejamos a los alumnos a cuidar de sus aparatos electrónicos y evitar
dejarlos en el piso o afuera de las aulas.
CASILLEROS – La escuela ha proporcionado un casillero para cada
alumno de secundaria con el propósito de proteger la propiedad de cada alumno,
y prevenir las perdidas o robos. Los casilleros deben estar asegurados con un
candado de combinación todo el tiempo. Los alumnos son responsables por el
candado y por estar pendientes que sus libros y pertenencias estén aseguradas
en el casillero cuando no los estén utilizando.
CONSEJO ESTUDIANTIL PARA SECUNDARIA
– Dr. Ketterer se reunirá con los
representantes de STUCO el miércoles 18
de noviembre a las 10:00 a.m. en el Centro de Información.
