THANK YOU – The DPTO
wishes to thank all our community for their support this past Saturday in the
Fun Run. Your support is what allows the DPTO to support and enrich our school.
The DPTO also wishes to invite all our families and friends to the amazing BINGO night that will take place
on Friday, February 19 at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are now on sale at the office or with any DPTO officer.
MIDTERM – This Friday,
February 5 is the third quarter’s midterm. Progress Reports will go out the
following Friday, February 12.
DAILY ATTENDANCE
– We would like to remind parents that it is extremely important that your
child arrives to school on time EVERY
DAY. By getting to school on time, your child is able to organize his/her
locker and backpack, turn in all homework, and still have time to meet and
greet his friends. When your child is late to school, he come to class stressed
out, interrupts the class, and misses important information given by the
teacher at the beginning of the class. We strongly recommend your child arrives
to school by 7:45 a.m. There is a warning bell @ 7:55 and then classes begin
promptly @ 8:00 a.m.

Seniors News:
We wish to congratulate both our students Juan Diego Caballero and Fernando Herrera, on their admission to
Rollins University in Florida. The
university recognized their academic achievements and awarded Juan Diego the Centennial Scholarship and Fernando the
Achievement Scholarship. We are so
proud of these two boys!
Juan
Diego was also admitted to University of New Orleans and University
of Kentucky just recently. We are in the wait for more good news on
scholarships to come from these two universities. Well done, Juan Diego!
University
of British Columbia in Canada shared with Daniela Leal the news on her admission
to their prestigious university. Kudos to you, Daniela!
PRESENTATION
FOR PARENTS - we have re-scheduled the
presentation on "The Challenges XXI Century Parents Face" for Thursday,
Feb. 11, at 12:00 p.m, in the Conference Room.. We hope those parents who
had already confirmed their assistance will still be able to make it.
WOLVES
ART AND BOOK CLUBS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD - beginning
February 1, and will take place Monday through Thursday from 3:15-4:15 p.m. The monthly cost per
club is Lps.600.00. After school transportation is available at an additional
monthly cost of Lps.500.00. The Art Club will meet on Mondays
and Wednesdays, and the Book Club will meet on

SENIORS BAKE
SALE – The Seniors will be having
their traditional Valentine’s Day Bake Sale on Friday, February 12. They will
be selling delicious treats during snack and lunch. Students may also begin to
pre order roses, candy grams, and love notes. The seniors have the pre order
forms and they will be handing them out to all students. The last day to pre
order will be Tuesday, February 9.
VALENTINE’S DAY BALL (for grades 6 –
12 ONLY) – The Senior Class will be
hosting a school dance on Friday, February 12 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. The
entrance fee will be of Lps. 150 and it will include the entrance to the dance,
dinner (3 tacos and 1 gringa), and 1 refreshment. Tickets will be sold on the
day of the event. School and parental supervision will be provided. Formal
attire is required. A parents’ lounge will be available in the Information
Center for parents who wish to stay and wait for their child.

GRACIAS – El DPTO desea agradecer a toda nuestra comunidad por su apoyo en la
Carrera por la Diversión (Fun Run) del sábado pasado. Su apoyo es lo que permite
al DPTO contribuir y enriquecer a nuestra escuela. El DPTO también desea
invitar a todas las familias y amigos a nuestra sorprendente noche de BINGO que se realizará este viernes 19 de febrero, a las 5:30 p.m.
Los boletos están a la venta en la oficina o con cualquier miembro del DPTO.
MEDIO PERIODO - Este viernes 5 de febrero es el
medio periodo del tercer trimestre. Los reportes de progreso se enviarán el próximo
viernes 12 de febrero.
ASISTENCIA DIARIA – Queremos recordarles a los padres que es
extremadamente importante que sus hijos lleguen a la escuela a tiempo TODOS LOS DÍAS. Al llegar a tiempo, le
da tiempo a su hijo(a) a organizar su casillero y mochila, entregar las tareas,
y todavía tener tiempo para saludar a sus amigos. Cuando su hijo(a) llega
tarde, llega a las clases estresado, interrumpe la clase, y se pierde de información
importante que los maestros dan al inicio de la clase. Firmemente les
recomendamos que sus hijos lleguen a la escuela antes de las 7:45 a.m. Suena
una campana de aviso a las 7:55 a.m. y las clases comienzan a las 8:00 a.m. en
punto.

Deseamos felicitar a dos
de nuestros alumnos Juan Diego Caballero
y Fernando Herrera por su admisión a Rollins University en Florida. La universidad reconoció sus logros académicos
y otorgó a Juan Diego la Centennial

Scholarship. Estamos muy orgullosos de estos dos jóvenes!
Juan Diego también fue admitido en la Universidad
de Nuevo Orleans y en la Universidad
de Kentucky recientemente. Estamos a la espera de buenas noticias con
respecto a becas de parte de estas dos universidades. Bien hecho Juan Diego!
La Universidad de British Columbia en Canadá compartió con Daniela Leal la noticia de su admisión a
esta prestigiosa institución. Felicitaciones Daniela!
PRESENTACION PARA PADRES - Hemos re-programado la presentación sobre el tema
" Los Retos que los Padres del Siglo XXI Enfrentan" para el día
jueves, 11 de febrero a las 12:00 p.m. en la Sala de Conferencias. Esperamos
que los padres que habían confirmado su asistencia aún nos puedan
acompañar.
CLUB DE ARTE Y DE LECTURA “LOBOS” PARA PRE-ESCOLAR
– comenzará el 1 de febrero, de
lunes a jueves de 3:15 – 4:15 p.m. El
costo mensual por club es de Lps.600.00. El transporte para después de
actividades extracurriculares está disponible con un costo mensual adicional de
Lps.500.00. El Club de Arte se reunirá los lunes y miércoles, y el Club de
Lectura se reunirá los martes y jueves. Para mayor información envíe un correo

VENTA DE PASTELES DE LOS SENIORS – Los Seniors estarán realizando su tradicional
Venta de pasteles del día de San Valentín, el viernes 12 de febrero. Tendrán a
la venta deliciosos bocadillos durante el receso y el almuerzo. Los alumnos también
pueden ordenar con anticipación rosas, dulces, y notas de amor. Los Seniors
tienen los formularios de pedido y se los estarán repartiendo a los alumnos. El
último día para ordenar por adelantado será el martes 9 de febrero.
BAILE DE SAN VALENTIN (para grados de 6 – 12 solamente)
– La Clase de los Seniors estarán
organizando un baile escolar el viernes 12 de febrero de 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
La entrada tendrá un costo de Lps.150.00 e incluirá la entrada al baile, cena
(3 tacos y 1 gringa), y 1 bebida. Los boletos serán vendidos el día del evento.
Tendremos supervisión de la escuela y por padres de familia. Se requiere
vestimenta formal. Se tendrá una sala para los padres en el Centro de Información,
en caso que deseen asistir y esperar a sus hijos.
