THANK YOU to the DPTO for the delicious lunch provided to our staff last Friday, and for the fabulous lanyards.     MUCHAS GRACIAS al DPTO por el delicioso almuerzo ofrecido a nuestro personal el pasado viernes, y por los cordones fabulosos.   GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON MAY 20 – We want to remind our parents that this Saturday, May 20 we will hold the annual ASEDUCADI General Assembly. Attendance from parents is needed in order to approve budget and policies. WITHDRAWL PRECEDURES – please refer to page 50 in the Parent- Student Handbook if you will be leaving Discovery School. A written notice must be given to the school two weeks in advance, and the forms must be filled out and submitted to the office.  Please click on the bottom ASAMBLEA GENERAL DEL 20 DE MAYO - Queremos recordar a nuestros Padres de Familia que este sábado 20 de mayo se llevará a cabo la Asamblea General anual ASEDUCADI. Favor presionar en el siguiente botón Withdrawl-Traslado EARLY CHILDHOOD & ELEMENTARY NEWS ANIMATRONICS FIELDTRIP – Students Kindergarten through grade 5 will be visiting the Animatronics exhibit at Chiminike on Friday, May 19, 2017. Please send the L150 when you receive the permission slip next week. Parents are needed to chaperone this amazing activity.  PASEO ANIMATRONICO - Estudiantes de Kinder hasta el 5to grado visitarán la exhibición Animatrónica en Chiminike el viernes 19 de mayo de 2017. Favor enviar L. 150 cuando reciba la hoja de permiso, la próxima semana. Los padres son necesarios para acompañar esta increíble actividad.   We are back again!!! Do you remember us??? Yes! We are Be Happy be green a fourth grade fundraising company working in collaboration with the school Environmental Committee. Right now we are working with the parents of the Environmental Committee to raise money for planting trees in the school. This is your chance to donate money to help this project be possible and to help our school have a better environment. Help us enchant our school! We can make this possible!! Special thanks to all the people that donated money already! If you haven’t had the chance to donate. Don´t worry! We will be in front of the office starting this Monday May 15, 2017 from 7:30-8:15 am. We will be there each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning until we plant the trees on Friday May 26th. We will also be sending home flyers soon with your child. Your donation can be made in cash or credit card. Somos felices, Somos verde. Una empresa de recaudación de fondos del cuarto grado está trabajando en colaboración con el Comité Ambiental de la escuela. En este momento estamos trabajando con los padres del Comité Ambiental para recaudar fondos para plantar árboles en la escuela. Esta es su oportunidad de donar dinero para ayudar a que este proyecto sea posible y ayudar a nuestra escuela a tener un mejor ambiente. ¡Ayúdanos a embellecer nuestra escuela! ¡Junto podemos hacer esto posible!! ¡Un agradecimiento especial a todas las personas que ya han donaron dinero! Please take the necessary measures to make sure your child gets to school before 8:00 a.m.     FIELD TRIP - The 11th & 12th graders will be visiting downtown in a tour called “Vuelve al Centro” lead by our alumni Maria Teresa Agurcia. The field trip will take place on Tuesday, May 19 from 8:00 - 12:00.     BAKE SALE - The Junior class will be having a minuta bake sale on Friday, May 19 during snack and lunch. All profit will go their upcoming community service work.     REVIEW DAYS (grades 8 - 12) - students will be reviewing for semester exams on Friday, May 26, Monday, May 29, and Tuesday, May 30. AWARDS ASSEMBLY - the school will recognize all students that participated in school events. Special recognition from the US government will also be awarded. The ceremony will take place next Friday, May 26 @ 1:30 p.m.   SEMESTER EXAMS (grades 8 - 12) - students will be taking semester exams on Wednesday, May 31, Thursday, June 1, and Friday, June 2.   CHECKOUT LISTS (grades 6 - 12) - students need to complete a checkout list with teachers at the end of the school year. The checkout list is due FRIDAY, JUNE 2. NATIONAL ANTHEM EXAM (grades 9 & 12) - will take place on Tuesday, June 6 @ 9:00 a.m.   TES EXAM (grade 12) - will take place on Wednesday, June 7 @ 9:00 a.m.   GRADUATION (grade 12) - Friday, June 9 @ 9:00 - Signing of Graduation Protocol with 2 individual adult witnesses @ 10:00 – Ceremony   PUNTUALIDAD - El tráfico está muy difícil para todos en la ciudad. También se otorgará un reconocimiento especial del gobierno de los Estados Unidos. La ceremonia tendrá lugar el próximo viernes 26 de mayo a las 1:30 p.m.   EXAMENES SEMESTRALES (grados 8-12) - los estudiantes tendrán los exámenes semestrales el miércoles 31 de mayo, jueves 1 de junio y viernes 2 de junio.   LISTA DE CHECKOUT (grados 6 a 12) - los estudiantes deben completar la lista de checkout con las firmas de los maestros al final del año escolar. La lista debe ser entregada el viernes del 2 de junio.
