The time is here! Our students have been working very hard towards this annual event, and while we know it takes part during the work day, we hope you will be able to join us for the presentations and for lunch.
Our Schedule this Thursday is as follows:

¡Ha llegado el momento! Nuestros estudiantes han estado trabajando arduamente para este evento anual, y aunque sabemos que es durante la jornada laboral, esperamos que puedan acompañarnos para las presentaciones y el almuerzo.

Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) is an international organization that takes in abandoned and orphaned children, providing a home and education. Here in Honduras, the NPH organization provides for over 500 children in at large ranch near La Venta and home in Tegucigalpa for severely handicapped children. While many children at the ranch have aunts, uncles, or grandparents that come to visit them and can provide some Christmas gifts, some children at a ranch have no family to visit. It is these children, whom we would like to provide for this Christmas. On the first floor of the administration office, a NPH Giving Tree will be set up. If you wish to participate, choose a paper tree that has a child’s information about his/her size for shoes and socks. Purchase the new tennis shoes and socks and return them to Mrs. Agurcia’s Room (Room. 7) by Tuesday, December 11th, with the tree tag taped to it. Thank you for giving this Christmas!

Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) es una organización internacional que acoge a niños abandonados y huérfanos, a quienes se les proporcionan un hogar y educación. Aquí en Honduras, la organización NPH provee un gran racho cerca de La Venta a más de 500 niños y una casa en Tegucigalpa para niños con discapacidades severas. Si bien, muchos niños en el rancho tienen tías, tíos o abuelos que llegan a visitarlos y pueden contribuir con regalos de Navidad, algunos niños en el rancho no tienen familiares que los visiten. Son estos niños, a quienes nos gustaría compartir en esta Navidad. En el primer piso de la oficina de administración (Recepción), estará los arboles de donación para NPH. Si desea participar, favor elegir un árbol de papel que tiene información de un niño (a) sobre el tamaño de los zapatos y calcetines. Favor de comprar tenis y calcetines nuevos y entregárselos a Ms. Christina Agurcia en su salón de clases # 7 antes del martes 11 de diciembre, con la etiqueta del árbol pegada. ¡Gracias por su generosidad en esta navidad!

All student-athletes will have fun participating in an intramural basketball tournament, where every single one of them can demonstrate sportsmanship and fair game. Each Team will be composed with participants from grade one, elementary, middle and high school student-athletes.
Activities:
1. Matches will for begin Monday, December 3, and will end Friday, December 14.
2. Matches for first grade will take place from Monday, December 10 to Friday, December 14.
**Teams have been organized during PE class!

Todos los estudiantes-atletas pueden divertirse participando en un torneo de baloncesto interno, donde cada uno de ellos puede demostrar su espirtu deportivo y juego limpio. Cada liga estará conformado con participantes desde alumnos del primer grado, primaria y secundaria.
Actividades:
1. Los partidos comenzarán el lunes, 3 de diciembre y finalizarán el viernes, 14 de diciembre.
2. Los partidos de primer grado se llevarán a cabo desde el lunes, 10 de diciembre hasta el viernes, 14 de diciembre.
** ¡Se han organizado equipos durante la clase de Educación Física!

IMPORTANT
- ELECTRONIC DEVICES - as part of their school supplies, students are required to bring a laptop or a tablet with a keyboard in order to work in class. The use of cell phones as a working device will no longer be allowed as it not appropriate for typing and it also creates distraction with the use of social media. Laptops and tablets connect through our school’s wifi and allows us to control the child’s content.
- SEMESTER EXAMS (grades 9-12): Last day for new material, project, or assessment: Thursday, December 6. Review days: Friday, December 7, Monday, December 10, Tuesday, December 11

IMPORTANTE
- DISPOSITIVOS ELECTRÓNICOS: como parte de los útiles escolares, los estudiantes deben traer una computadora portátil o una tableta con un teclado para poder trabajar en clase. El uso de teléfonos celulares como un dispositivo de trabajo ya no se permitirá, ya que no es apropiado para escribir y también crea distracción con el uso de las redes sociales. Las computadoras portátiles y las tabletas se conectan a través del wifi de nuestra escuela y nos permiten controlar el contenido.

ATTENDANCE - Traffic is difficult for everybody in the city. Please make the necessary arrangements so your child arrives to school before 7:55 am.

HOMEWORK CALENDAR –
This is a very useful tool to keep track of homework, quizzes and tests, etc. The homework calendar is located within every grade’s blog.
