UN DAY CELEBRATION – An ENORMOUS thanks goes out to all the parents, teachers, and students who in one way or another contributed in making this celebration the success it was! Special thanks to the DPTO for devoting so much time and effort to an outstanding community event that highlights our international diversity!
BOOK CHARACTER DAY / STUDENT PARADE – The Elementary Students will have their book character presentations Tuesday, October 28th during the 2nd period (9:00 – 9:50 a.m.) and the Middle and High School students will have their costume parade at 2:15 p.m.
STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29 – Conferences for the first quarter are mandatory for all students and parents. Our students will be preparing to lead their conferences this Friday. Please be on the look-out for the notices teachers will be sending you with your scheduled time. As always, our teachers are very accommodating, so please let them know if you have problems with the time they are giving you and need to reschedule. Please remember that in order to get the first quarter’s report cards, you and your child must meet with the teacher.
OUTSTANDING BALANCE ON FEES – If you have an outstanding balance on fees that are due to the school, our school policy does not allow us to give your child’s report card to you. Please make sure that your payments are current to avoid any embarrassment for your child.
PICTURES FOR THE YEARBOOK – if you have cool pictures of your class and would like them to be included in this year’s yearbook please email them to Mrs. Kristen Fink at kfink@discoveryschool.edu.hn .
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – As part of our security wall project, the contractors are working on a drainage trench near the gym. Please watch your children carefully at drop off and pick up times to help us keep them safe.

Blogs and Wikispaces are updated by 8:00 a.m. every Monday morning with the current week’s information. Please check them regularly to stay informed about what is going on in the classes.

CELEBRACION DE LAS NACIONES UNIDAS – MUCHISIMAS GRACIAS a todos los padres de familia, maestros y alumnos que de una forma u otra contribuyeron a que esta celebración fuera todo un éxito!. Gracias especiales al DPTO por dedicar tanto tiempo y esfuerzo a este inmenso evento de nuestra comunidad que resalta nuestra diversidad internacional.
DIA DE PERSONAJES DE LIBROS / DESFILE DE ALUMNOS – Los alumnos de primaria tendrán las presentaciones de sus personajes de libros el día martes 28 de Octubre durante el segundo periodo (9:00 – 9:50 a. m.) Los alumnos de secundaria tendrán su desfile de disfraces a las 2:15 p.m.
CONFERENCIAS GUIADAS POR ALUMNOS, VIERNES 29 DE OCTUBRE – Las conferencias correspondientes al primer parcial son obligatorias para padres y alumnos. Los alumnos se prepararan para guiar la conferencia este viernes. Por favor este pendiente de los avisos que los maestros enviaran con la hora de la conferencia. Como siempre, nuestros maestros son muy flexibles, así que si tiene problemas con la hora de su conferencia, hágaselo saber para que se haga en otra fecha u hora. Por favor recuerde que para recibir las calificaciones del primer parcial, usted y si hijo(a) se deben reunir con el maestro.
PAGOS ATRAZADOS EN LA COLEGIATURA – Si usted tiene pagos vencidos en las colegiaturas, la política de la escuela no nos permite entregarle las calificaciones de su hijo(a). Por favor asegúrese que sus pagos estén al día para evitar cualquier incomodidad a su hijo.
FOTOS PARA EL ANUARIO – Si tiene fotos bonitas de la vida de la escuela y quisiera que se incluyeran el anuario de este año, por favor envíelas a Mrs. Kristen Fink a kfink@discoveryschool.edu.hn
REPORTE DE LA CONSTRUCCION- Como parte del proyecto del muro de seguridad, los contratistas están trabajando en los drenajes cerca del gimnasio. Por favor vigile a sus hijos al momento de dejarlos o llevarlos y ayúdenos a mantener la seguridad.
