WELCOME BACK! We hope you all had a wonderful Semana Santa break, and have recharged your batteries for this last leg of the school year. Things are always hectic at this time of the school year, so we suggest you keep reminders that work for you regarding the events and deadlines up ahead.
DPTO SPONSORED DENTAL HYGIENE TALKS FOR ELEMENTARY – Our DPTO has lined up dental hygene talks for our Elementary Students this Friday, April 13. The schedule was distributed before Semana Santa, and these talks will take place in the Library. Here is a reminder.

DPTO FAMILY NIGHT – The DPTO has begun working on the preparations for our annual Family Night, which will take place on Friday, April 20. Our teachers will be hosting games from 5:00-6:00 p.m. There will be other activities happening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and a Choir Sponsored BINGO from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Please mark your calendars and come enjoy a fun-filled evening while supporting our DPTO and Choir in their efforts to raise funds.
NEW DISCOVERY SCHOOL T-SHIRTS AND POLOS – The new “Home of the Wolves” t-shirts and polos are now available for purchase in our Finance office. T-hirts are sold for $7 (L140) and polos for $13 (L250). With every shirt sold, we are contributing to the Choir in their effort to raise funds for their San Francisco trip this summer. Please remind your children to wear Discovery School shirts on Fridays to demonstrate school pride. Let’s all pitch in and build our school spirit!

JUNIORS TO CAYOS COCHINOS – Our Junior class of 2012 will be going on their rescheduledvisit Cayos Cochinos this week. Mr. Kjell Fenn and Ms. Ashely Lardizabal will be traveling with them. We thank all of our community for their generous donations to help our Juniors on this trip.
STUDENTS WHO ARE LEAVING - If you are leaving Discovery at the end of the school year (or before), please contact Carolina (Receptionist) to fill out the necessary paperwork. We request a 2-week advance notice to enable us to prepare the documents you will need to transfer to another school and prevent any unnecessary delays.

CHARLAS SOBRE HIGIENE DENTAL PARA PRIMARIA PATROCINADAS POR EL DPTO - Nuestro DPTO ha organizado charlas de higiene dental para nuestros alumnos de Primaria este viernes 13 de abril. El horario fue distribuido a los maestros antes de la Semana Santa, y estas se llevaran a cabo en la Biblioteca. Aquí está un recordatorio.

NOCHE DE FAMILIA DEL DPTO – El DPTO a empezado a trabajar en los preparativos para nuestra tradicional Noche de Familia, la cual se realizará el viernes 20 de abril. Nuestros maestros estarán realizando juegos de 5:00-6:00p.m. Habrán otras actividades desde las 6:00-7:00p.m. y luego el BINGO Patrocinado por el Coro desde las 7:00-8:00p.m. Por favor márquelo en su calendario y venga a disfrutar de una noche llena de diversión mientras apoyamos a nuestro DPTO y al Coro en sus esfuerzos por recaudar fondos.
NUEVAS CAMISETAS Y CAMISAS POLO DE DISCOVERY - Las nuevas camisetas y camisas polo del “Hogar de los Lobos” están ya disponibles a la venta en nuestra oficina de Finanzas. Las camisetas cuestan $7 (L140) y las camisas polo $13 (250). Con cada camiseta vendida, estamos contribuyendo con el Coro en su esfuerzo por recaudar fondos para su viaje a San Francisco de este verano. Por favor recuérdele a sus hijos usar su camiseta de Discovery School los días viernes para demostrar su orgullo escolar. Contribuyamos todos y construyamos nuestro espíritu escolar!

JUNIORS A CAYOS COCHINOS – La clase de Juniors 2012 irán a su viaje reprogramado a Cayos Cochinos esta semana. Mr. Kjell Fenn y Ms. Ashley Lardizabal viajarán con ellos. Agradecemos a nuestra comunidad por sus generosas donaciones para ayudar a los Juniors en su viaje.
ALUMNOS QUE RETIRAN – Si usted se va de la Escuela Discovery al final del año escolar (o antes), por favor comuníquese con Carolina (Recepcionista) y llene los formularios necesarios. Requerimos de aviso de 2 semanas por anticipado para poder preparar los documentos que necesitan para el traslado a otra escuela y así prevenir atrasos innecesarios.
