MIDTERM AND
PROGRESS REPORTS –Midterm Progress Reports were sent home
last Thursday. Please read through them and return them signed by next
Wednesday, September 17. If you would like a conference, and one was not
requested by the teacher, please call the school to set up an appointment.
INDEPENDENCE
DAY CELEBRATION –Congratulations to the committee
that organized the Independence day activities. It was a great event! Thanks
for all your hard work!
MAP FALL TESTING
SESSION
– Our Fall testing session begins today. Your cooperation in making sure your
child does not miss school on the days we have the tests is greatly
appreciated.
TECHNOLOGY
AUDIT: The
emTech Team of Dr. Barrie Jo Price
and Dr. Anna McFadden will be here next week to conduct an afternoon in-service
on Wednesday (September 24) and a U.S. State Department-sponsored Technology
Audit on September 25 and 26. Teachers,
Parents and Students will be invited to participate. The schedule will be included in the memo
next Monday.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY –
Our Fall General Assembly will take place on Saturday, September 27 at 9:00
a.m. in the school cafeteria. We invite all our parents to come and stay
informed about important school decisions. The official convocation, in Spanish
and English, went out to parents on September 12, in accordance with policy.
STUDENT ID CARDS: ID
cards will be available for all students who are interested at a Lps. 30 cost.
Students need to pay in the Finance Office and then with the receipt go to Mr.
Cesar Morga’s office to have their picture taken.
Reposition of the ID card will have a cost of Lps.
50.
Mr. Morga will begin with interested students from
grades 9 – 12 and then continue with the rest of the student body.
MATH OLYMPICS:
Students from grades 7-12 are invited to take part in the Math Olympics clubs.
The ABSH Math Olympics will take place in La Ceiba during the month of April. Clubs meeting
will begin after our September holiday break.
BAKE SALE: The
Juniors will be having a bake sale in Thursday, September 18. Funds will be
towards their Social Service Work.
FIELD TRIP TO
THE MIN:
The 6th grade class will be visiting the Museum of National Identity (MIN) on
Friday, September 19.

de Progreso y Medio Periodo se enviaron a casa el jueves pasado. Favor léalos
cuidadosamente y mándelos de regreso, firmados, antes del 17 de septiembre. Si
desea una conferencia, y no se la solicitaron los maestros, favor llame a la
escuela para hacer una cita.
CELEBRACION DEL DÍA DE LA INDEPENDENCIA – Felicitamos al comité que organizó las actividades que celebramos para el Día
de la Independencia. Fue un evento grandioso! Agradecemos su arduo trabajo.
SESION DE EXAMENES MAP – La sesión de otoño
de exámenes comienza hoy. Su cooperación asegurándose que su hijo(a) no pierda
clases los días que haremos los exámenes es muy valiosa.
AUDITORIA DE TECNOLOGIA: El equipo emTech de la Dra. Barrie Jo Price y la
Dra. Anna McFadden estará aquí la próxima semana para realizar un taller en la
tarde del día miércoles (24 de septiembre) y una Auditoría de Tecnología gracias
al apoyo del Departamento de Estado de Estados Unidos, los días 25 y 26 de
septiembre. Invitaremos a los maestros, padres y alumnos a participar. El
horario será incluido en el próximo Memo de los lunes.
ASAMBLEA GENERAL – Nuestra Asamblea General de
Otoño se llevará a cabo el sábado 27 de septiembre a las 9:00 a.m. en la cafetería
de la escuela. Invitamos a todos nuestros padres a asistir y así estén informados
de las decisiones importantes de la escuela. La convocatoria oficial, en inglés
y español, fue enviada el 12 de septiembre, de acuerdo con nuestras políticas.
CARNETS DE ALUMNOS: Tendremos disponible carnets
para los alumnos que estén interesados a un valor de L.30.00. Los alumnos
tienen que pagarlo en la Oficina de Finanzas y con el recibo pasar a la oficina
de Mr. Cesar Morga para que les tome la foto.
El reemplazo de un carnet extraviado tendrá un valor de
L.50.00
Mr. Morga comenzará con los alumnos interesados de los
grados de 9-12 y luego continuará con el resto del alumnado.
OLIMPIADA DE MATEMATICAS: Los alumnos de 7 –
12 grados están invitados a tomar parte de los clubes de Olimpiada de
Matemáticas. Las Olimpiadas de Matemáticas de ABSH se realizarán en La Ceiba
durante el mes de abril. Los clubes se reunirán después del feriado de
septiembre.
VENTA DE PASTELES – Los Juniors estarán realizando
una venta de pasteles el jueves 18 de septiembre. Los fondos recolectados serán
para su Trabajo Educativo Social.
PASEO AL MIN: Los alumnos de 6to grado estarán visitando el Museo de la
Identidad Nacional (MIN) el día viernes 19 de septiembre.
