ACCREDITATION PROCESS – SURVEYS -Below you will find the link that will take you to the corresponding survey that you need to complete. Please take some time from your busy schedule to complete the survey that will provide valuable information towards the accreditation process and therefore, school improvement.

A Spanish version of the survey for parents is available in this message; however the survey needs to be completed in English. The Spanish version will help parents complete the English version as it is an exact copy of the survey.

SCHEDULE FOR STUDENT SURVEYS - Below you will find the schedule that the students will follow in order to complete the survey.
  • For Early Elementary/Childhood teachers (grades K-2): please walk your students through the survey. It is recommended that you use the interactive projector in the computer lab to guide your students through each of the questions.
  • A shortcut on the screen will have the links to the corresponding surveys. If you have questions and/or doubts, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Gloria ASAP!

NARRATIVES AND REPORT CARDS FOR THE THIRD QUARTER– The end of quarter is next Thursday, March 12. Conferences on a need basis will be held on the afternoon of Friday, March 20 at 1:00 p.m. Notices for conferences will be sent home on Monday, March 16.

FIELD TRIPS GRADES 6-8 AND 12 - As an extension of the school curriculum, our students from grades 6, 7, 8, and 12 will be visiting different important places of the country (Copan, Lake Yojoa, and Tela respectively). The groups will be gone from Wednesday, March 4 – Saturday, March 7.

EARLY CHILDHOOD AND ELEMENTARY READ-A-THON – To commemorate Dr. Seuss’ birthday in March, the students from grades Kindergarten through five will all be participating in the month-long Read-a-Thon. The winner from each class will go out to lunch as a special treat from our DPTO! Please encourage your students to read, read, read, and fill out the reading logs that will be distributed next week.

Favor tome unos minutos de su ocupada agenda y llene la encuesta que proporcionará información valiosa para el proceso de acreditación y por lo tanto, el mejoramiento de la escuela.

Una versión en español de la encuesta para padres está disponible en este mensaje; sin embargo la encuesta necesita ser llenada en ingles. La versión en español ayudará a los padres a completar la versión en ingles ya que es una copia exacta de la encuesta. La encuesta tiene que ser completada online en la versión en ingles.

HORARIO PARA LAS ENCUESTAS DE ALUMNOS – Abajo encontrarán el horario que los alumnos seguirán para poder llenar las encuestas.
  • Para los maestros de Pre-escolar/primeros grados de Primaria (de Kinder-2do grado): mostrarán a sus alumnos paso a paso la encuesta. Es recomendable que se utilice el proyector en el Laboratorio de Computación para guiarlos en cada pregunta.
  • Un atajo en la pantalla tendrá los enlaces que corresponden a las encuestas. Si tiene alguna pregunta y/o duda, favor no dude en llamar a Ms. Gloria tan pronto sea posible!

NARRATIVAS Y CALIFICACIONES DEL TERCER TRIMESTRE – El final del tercer trimestre es el próximo jueves 12 de marzo. Se llevarán a cabo conferencias según sea solicitado, en la tarde del día viernes 20 de marzo, a la 1:00 p.m. Se enviarán las notificaciones el lunes 16 de marzo.

VIAJES DE GRADOS 6-8 Y 12VO – Como una extensión del currículo escolar, los alumnos de 6to, 7mo, 8vo, y 12vo grado estarán visitando diferentes lugares importantes del país (Copan, Lago de Yojoa, y Tela, respectivamente). Los grupos estarán ausentes desde el miércoles 4 de marzo – sábado 7 de marzo.

MARATON DE LECTURA DE PRE-ESCOLAR Y PRIMARIA – Para conmemorar el cumpleaños del Dr. Seuss en marzo, los alumnos de los grados desde Kínder hasta quinto estarán participando en un maratón mensual de lectura. El ganador de cada clase tendrá un almuerzo especial que será proporcionado por el DPTO! Favor anime a sus alumnos a leer, leer, leer, y llenar las hojas de registro de lectura que serán entregadas la próxima semana.

*Deseamos felicitar a Dylan Gutiérrez por su admisión en la Universidad Tecnológica de Florida. Ha sido escogido para ser parte de un programa sobresaliente en una gran universidad. Debido a su rendimiento académico superior, también le ofrecieron una beca académica significativa.

*Nuestro alumno de 10mo grado, Eduardo Gutiérrez, ha sido seleccionado para servir como Becario Mundial en la Conferencia Global de Jóvenes Lideres (GYLC en ingles). GYLC es una jornada de 10 días que ayuda a los alumnos adoptar estrategias de liderazgo internacional, conocer diversas culturas y trasfondos, y apreciar maneras únicas de pensamiento y formas de ver el mundo. OBJETOS PERDIDOS Y ENCONTRADOS – Favor anime a su hijo a pasar por la recepción a revisar las cajas de objetos “perdidos y encontrados”. Hay varios artículos (suéteres, contenedores plásticos, botellas de agua) que necesitan ser reclamadas por sus dueños tan pronto como sea posible.
