GENERAL ASSEMBLY
- Please
take note that the Fall General Assembly will take place this Saturday,
September 26 at 9:00 a.m. in the Cafeteria. Child care will be available to
those parents who need to bring their children. Your support is greatly
appreciated.
ADVANCED
PREPARATION FOR THE TEAM VISIT– We are a month away from our
re-accreditation visit. Our teachers have been working very hard in preparing
all the documentation that we need to present. The Accreditation Team will also
want to meet with parents, so we are asking you to be attentive to
announcements that will be made in the coming weeks regarding meetings with the
stakeholders. We will share the schedule
with you as soon as it is finalized.
MAP TESTS– Our MAP testing session continues this week.
The schedule we will follow can be found at the end of this memo.
STUDENT PICK UP FOR AFTER SCHOOL
ACTIVITIES - We would like to
remind parents that our after school activities run from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
and would like to ask our parents’ cooperation in picking up your children
promptly at 4:15 p.m. We value the safety and supervision of our students,
and want to make sure they go home at an appropriate time.
CHANGES
IN THE OCTOBER HOLIDAYS – We have received official word that a decree was
issued in Congress changing the October holidays to October 7, 8, and 9. We will be complying and
changing the holidays. We are asking our teachers to be understanding and
flexible with those families that have purchased tickets for trips at the end
of October and cannot move them. Be as accommodating as possible in helping
students with missed work and content.

ANNOUNCEMENTS – The DPTO wishes to let our school
community know about the following:
- Food Sale – For your convenience, the DPTO will be selling snacks and drinks at the General Assembly this Saturday.

Movie Morning Fun – The DPTO will be showing Hotel
Transylvania 2 at Novacentro next Saturday, October 3 at 10:30 a.m. The movie
will be shown in English! Tickets are very limited! They will be first sold
during the General Assembly this Saturday, and the following week. The price of
each ticket is L.250.00 and it includes the entrance to the movie and your
choice of combos of popcorn and drink, hot dog and drink, or nachos and drink.

BRICKS4KIDZ – The first module for Bricks4kidz began last Friday, September 18.
Each module will have only 4 sessions, at a cost of L1,000.00 per module. If you wish, you may still enroll your child

ASAMBLEA GENERAL – Favor tomen nota que la Asamblea General de otoño
se llevará a cabo este sábado 26 de septiembre, a las 9:00 a.m. en la
Cafeteria. Tendremos personal que cuide a los niños para aquellos padres que
necesitan traer a sus hijos. Agradecemos profundamente su apoyo.
PREPARATIVOS PARA LA VISITA DEL EQUIPO DE ADVANCED
– Estamos a un mes de la visita
de re-acreditación. Nuestros maestros han estado trabajando arduamente en la preparación
de toda la documentación que necesitamos presentar. El Equipo de Acreditación también
desea conocer a los padres, así que les pedimos estar atentos a los anuncios
que estaremos haciendo en las próximas semanas acerca de las reuniones con los constituyentes.
Compartiremos el horario con ustedes tan pronto como se haya completado.
EXÁMENES MAP – Nuestra sesión de exámenes MAP continúa esta semana. El horario esta
detallado al final de este memo.
HORA DE RECOGER A LOS ALUMNOS DESPUES DE
ACTIVIDADES EXTRACURRICULARES – Deseamos
recordarles a los padres que nuestras actividades extracurriculares son de 3:15
p.m. a 4:15 p.m. y deseamos solicitarles su cooperación en recoger a sus
hijos puntualmente a las 4:15 p.m. Valoramos la seguridad y supervisión de
nuestros alumnos, y queremos asegurarnos que se vayan a casa a una hora
apropiada.
CAMBIOS EN LOS FERIADOS DE OCTUBRE – Hemos
recibido comunicado oficial que un decreto se emitió en el Congreso cambiando
los feriados de octubre para el 7, 8 y 9 de octubre. Estaremos cumpliendo y cambiando los
feriados.
Pedimos a nuestros maestros que comprendan y sean flexibles con aquellas
familias que han comprado boletos para los viajes a finales de octubre y que no
se puedan cambiar. Sean serviciales lo
mas que puedan para que ayuden a los alumnos con el trabajo y contenido
perdido.

Venta de comida – Para su conveniencia, el DPTO estará vendiendo

presentará en ingles! Los boletos son limitados! Estarán en venta primeramente en la Asamblea General
