To Members of the Assembly of ASEDUCADI:
At the recommendation of AdvancED, the Board has been reviewing the Statutes which regulate the affairs of the Discovery School.
The objective has been 1) To update them with current best practices, and 2) To remove obsolete passages that have been there since the founding of the school. We have sought assistance and advice from members of the community.
Our intention is to present the modified statutes for the assembly of May 13 for review and a vote of approval.
We realize that parents need an opportunity to review the proposed modifications, and we are going to present these at 4 different occasions prior to the assembly for the consideration of parents.
Meetings Dates in the Conference Room:
Wednesday, April 5th at 8:00 a.m.
Wednesday, April 5th at 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, April 18th at 8:00 a.m.
Wednesday, April 19th at 2:00 p.m.

Los Miembros de la Asamblea de ASEDUCADI:
Por recomendación del AdvancED, la Junta Directiva ha estado revisando los Estatutos que regulan los asuntos de la Escuela Discovery.
El objetivo ha sido 1) Actualizar los estatutos con las mejores prácticas, y 2) Eliminar los incisos obsoletos que han estado allí desde la fundación de la escuela. Hemos buscado ayuda y consejo de los Miembros de la Comunidad.
Nuestra intención es presentar los estatutos modificados para la Asamblea del 13 de mayo para su revisión y voto de aprobación.
Nos hemos damos cuenta de que los padres necesitan una oportunidad para revisar las modificaciones propuestas, y vamos a presentarlas en 4 ocasiones diferentes antes de la Asamblea para la consideración de los padres.

SPANISH WEEK –
The celebration of the Spanish Language will take place from April 19 to April 26. Most of the activities will be taking place within the classroom (i.e. contests for busca rapido, ortografia, trabalenguas and refranes) and several grades will be working together in other activities (i.e. museo de cuentos, estatuas vivientes de autores, titeres, mercado de libros, ect). The Spanish department thanks parents in advance for their support in these activities, which in detail can be looked at in any of the Spanish Blogs).

SEMANA DEL ESPAÑOL -
La celebración del Idioma Español tendrá lugar desde el 19 de abril al 26 de abril. La mayoría de las actividades se llevarán a cabo dentro del aula (es decir, concursos de búsqueda rápida, ortografía, trabalenguas y refranes). y otros grados estarán trabajando todos en otras actividades (es decir, museo de cuentos, estatuas vivientes de autores, títeres, mercado de libros, ect).
