END OF THE THIRD QUARTER – Last Friday marked the end of the third quarter! Report cards will be sent home this Friday, March 23. Conferences, which will be scheduled on a need basis by teachers or parents, will he held after the Easter Break.

REMINDER OF CHANGES IN OUR SCHOOL CALENDAR –
The projected four early release days for the second semester will now become full school days. They are March 23, April 27 and May 23. This was approved by the Board on January 12, 2018. Please adjust your calendars.

SPELLING BEE – Last Saturday, March 17, eight of our students proudly represented our school at the Regional Spelling Bee. We congratulate all the students for their hard work in preparing for this event! We also thank Ms. Regina Hausch, Mr. Andrew and Mr. Pappas for giving up their Saturday and helping as judges/callers/scribes at the event!

OUR WOLVES AT THE AASCA SPORTSMANSHIP EVENT

Thirty of our middle school students will be participating had the amazing experience of participating in a 4-day event last week. More than 200 students from seven different schools of Central America came together for sports, team building and cultural events. We thank our Athletic Director, Ms. Yery Villeda, our two coaches Mr. Stephen and Mr. Alvin Cacho, and our Secondary Principal Ms. Gloria Palacios for their support and supervision of our students during this event.

Treinta de nuestros estudiantes de secundaria tuvieron la increíble experiencia de participar en un evento de 4 días la semana pasada. Más de 200 estudiantes de siete escuelas diferentes de Centroamérica se reunieron en deportes, trabajo en equipo y eventos culturales. Agradecemos a nuestra Directora Atlética, Ms. Yery Villeda, a nuestros dos entrenadores, el Sr. Stephen y el Sr. Alvin Cacho, y a nuestra Directora de Secundaria, Ms. Gloria Palacios, por su apoyo y supervisión de nuestros estudiantes durante este evento.

The school has received the majority of the polos and t-shirts that were ordered by parents at the beginning of the year (for which we profusely apologize for the delay). When you are in school, please stop by the office or call Ms. Belgica (extension 106) to pay for your order.

La escuela ha recibido la mayoría de las camisas polos y camisetas que ordenaron los padres de familia a principios de año (por lo que pedimos disculpas por la demora). Cuando esté en la escuela, pase por la oficina o llame a Ms. Bélgica (extensión 106) para pagar su pedido.

Last year, the school administration reorganized the Cafeteria (as a non-profit cost center). After leasing it out to various providers over the past years, we came to understand that it is not a venue in which one can make profit. Thus, in taking it over, the school seeks to provide quality food and service to our students, parents, and staff, and it seeks to simply break even, without exploiting the students for profit.
Since its beginning in August 2017, prices of materia prima needed to elaborate our meals have gone up, which makes us revise the prices that we have been offering at the cafeteria. We ask parents to visit the school cafeteria blog ( https://wolvescafeteria.wordpress.com/ ) to see the updated list, and to visit it every week to see the meals being offered that week.

El año pasado, la administración de la escuela reorganizó la cafetería (como un centro sin fines de lucro). Después de rentar la cafetería a varios proveedores en los últimos años, llegamos a entender que no es un lugar en el que uno pueda obtener ganancias. Por lo tanto, al administrar la cafeteria, la escuela busca proporcionar alimentos y servicios de calidad a nuestros estudiantes, padres de familia y al personal, y busca simplemente alcanzar el punto de equilibrio, sin beneficiarse de los estudiantes.
Desde su comienzo en agosto de 2017, los precios de materia prima necesarios para elaborar nuestras comidas han aumentado, lo que nos hace revisar los precios que hemos estado ofreciendo en la cafetería. This is the final week for our students to read, read, and read for our annual Read-a-thon!!! Please remind your child(ren) to record the books they read in their reading log sheet and turn them in to their teachers no later than this March 22. The winners will be announced when we return from Easter Break, and will be treated to lunch (courtesy of our DPTO) outside our school campus when we return from Easter Break.

RAFFLE - The Junior class is having a raffle in order to raise funds for their upcoming community service. The cost of the ticket is L100 and are available with the Juniors.

SLUSHIES SALE - the Senior class will be selling slushies after the Easter Break, in order to raise funds for their community service.
ATTENDANCE - Traffic is difficult for everybody in the city. Please make the necessary arrangements so your child arrives to school before 7:55 am.

We remind all parents and students to check the blogs every Monday (preferably) in order to be informed of the week’s content.

ICMS has management specialists with world- class academics from across the globe and the best industry training program in Australia. Kudos to you, Maria Alejandra.

Our Boot Camp scheduled for, Friday, April 6, 2018, has been cancelled because of lack of students interested in participating in it. Students will have regular classes that day. Money of the students who have paid will be returned.
