WELCOME BACK – We hope you all had a restful, relaxing and uneventful Easter Break. We hope you are ready for this last stretch of the school year. The last months of any school year are always busy times, but these two months are extremely busy for us. There are many important events and activities that will take place, so we urge everyone to read each Monday Memo carefully to stay informed and abreast of all that will be going on.

BIENVENIDOS - Esperamos que todos hayan tenido un descanso tranquilo, relajante y sin incidentes en Semana Santa. Esperamos que estén listo para este último tramo del año escolar. Los últimos meses de cualquier año escolar son siempre tiempos ocupados, pero estos dos meses son extremadamente ocupados para nosotros. Hay muchos eventos y actividades importantes que se llevarán a cabo, por lo que exhortamos a todos a leer cada “Monday Memo” a fin de mantenerse informado y al tanto de todo lo que sucederá.

CONFERENCES – Report Cards for the third quarter were issued the Friday we broke for Easter. Conferences, which will be scheduled on a need basis by teachers or parents can take place this week.

TRAFFIC DURING DROP OFF AND PICK UP OF STUDENTS- We want to ask for / remind parents that their cooperation in following the established procedures during the dropping off of students before 8:00 a.m. or picking them up at 3:00 p.m. is essential. It not only guarantees the safety of our students, but also helps parents drop their children of or pick them up in a more time efficient manner. Please respect the no parking zones that have been established along the administrative building and in front of the gym, and reduce your speed when entering or leaving the school parking lot.

TRÁFICO DURANTE LA LLEGADA Y SALIDA DE ESTUDIANTES- Queremos solicitar y/o recordar a los padres de familia su cooperación para seguir los procedimientos establecidos durante la llegada de los estudiantes antes de las 8:00 a.m. y la salida a las 3:00 p.m. es esencial. No solo garantiza la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes, sino que también ayuda a los padres de familia a dejar a sus hijos (as) o recogerlos de una manera más eficaz con el tiempo. Por favor respetar las zonas de estacionamiento que se han establecido como parqueo a lo largo del edificio administrativo y frente al gimnasio, reducir su velocidad al entrar o salir del estacionamiento de la escuela.

REMINDER OF CHANGES IN OUR SCHOOL CALENDAR –
The projected four early release days for the second semester will now become full school days. They are April 27 and May 23. This was approved by the Board on January 12, 2018. Please adjust your calendars.

Seniors News -
We are proud to share with you the great news that our senior, Samuel Walsh, was recently admitted to three of the most prestigious universities in California, U.S.A. The three of them: University of Santa Clara, University of San Francisco and UCLA, all recognize Sam’s scholarly achievements, intellectual drive and commitment to our school and community. In UCLA, he was selected from the largest applicant pool in the nation- over 113,000 students. Congratulations for your accomplishments, Sam!
John Hopkins University in Maryland, was impressed by Ian Glynn’s intellectual inquiry and achievements both in and outside the classroom, and has admitted him to their very selective and competitive university. John Hopkins only admits 11% of its applicants. Ian also adds to his list of universities where he has been admitted to the Engineering Program, UC San Diego and UCLA, both top higher education institutions. Superbly done, Ian!
We also wish to congratulate our senior, Liam Turner, for his admission to the University of Minnesota. Liam’s admission was based on his academic skills, talents and motivation to succeed. Way to go, Liam!

Noticias de los Seniors
Estamos orgullosos de compartir con ustedes la gran noticia de que nuestro senior, Samuel Walsh, fue admitido recientemente en tres de las universidades más prestigiosas de California, EE. UU. Las tres son: Universidad de Santa Clara, Universidad de San Francisco y UCLA, todas reconocen los logros académicos, el impulso intelectual y el compromiso de Sam con nuestra escuela y comunidad. En UCLA, fue seleccionado del grupo de solicitantes más grande de la nación, más de 113,000 estudiantes. ¡Felicidades por tus logros, Sam!
La Universidad John Hopkins de Maryland quedó impresionado por su indigación intelectual y los logros de Ian Glynn tanto dentro como fuera del aula, y lo han admitido en esta universidad selectiva y competitiva. John Hopkins solo admite el 11% de sus solicitantes. Ian también suma a su lista de universidades donde ha sido admitido en el Programa de Ingeniería, UC San Diego y UCLA, ambas instituciones de educación superior. ¡Maravilloso, Ian!
